How to Get a Break in TV Commercials through Auditions?

For a lot of aspiring actors, commercial auditions are very tough. You have just a few minutes to answer questions, get comfortable, take direction and get a rehearsal, and do a few retakes. So, here are few audition tips to teach you if you are getting auditioned in casting sessions so you can make your way to Talents of India film festival.

·         When you walk into the audition, you shouldn’t think about anything. Let everything go out of your mind.

·         You have to be positive, respective and professional without having to lose your personality.

·         You have to give proper attention to the director. You shouldn’t be distracted by anything or anyone. While giving audition, you have to just listen to them properly. Or you may lose your chance.

·         Ask questions if you need clarification. Don’t make unnecessary questions as they may be irritating. The people running the session will not be bothered on giving answers. It may also help you to do better on your auditions.

·         When getting recorded, don’t guess second time what they have to hear when they ask questions or talk to you. They may want to see your personality and know you. Rather than trying to impress, just talk to them.

·         If the director is short-tempered, rude or ambivalent, you shouldn’t take it personally.  They may be facing some problems with last actors or may be their nature. You have to stay calm and positive and do your own business.

·         Before audition starts, you need to get comfortable. Take deep breaths before starting out. Don’t let your negative thoughts and anxiety to control your mind. If you are feeling nervous, there are chances that you may speed up dialogues or forget it. If you are focused and connected, you won’t rush.
